Features
The Internet Grievance System (IGS) is an entirely web-based grievance procedure software application.
With the IGS:
-
No installation or synchronization of multiple copies needed on different computers.
-
Data is immediately updated in the IGS datacenter allowing up to the minute detail.
-
Grievances are all centrally located, eliminating redundancy and duplication.
-
Share your local's grievance data across all of your office locations.
Customizable. The IGS can be customized for your local union. Your contracts with employers can be built directly into your IGS. Your grievance meeting steps are customized for you. Your union's logo will display on your IGS and you can upload grievance specific files (scanned documents) to your IGS.
100% Web-Based. The IGS database resides on secure servers in a state-of-the-art datacenter and is updated in real-time for all users.
Since the IGS is 100% web-based, it eliminates problems with older systems: duplication of data on multiple computers and the need to synchronize multiple computers and users to one in-house database.
Real Time Updates. Updating is simple with the IGS. The user enters or modifies the grievance data and presses "Save". All users can instantaneously see the changes or additions to the data.
Multiple Options. Your grievances are tracked in the IGS on a step-by-step basis.
-
A member contacts the local/steward and the information can immediately be entered.
-
Locals can add and update the meeting stages as they progress.
-
Locals can append documents to the grievance by uploading them to the IGS.
-
Locals can print, email or view a grievance summary screen and all supporting documents by simply clicking the "Print" button.
-
A grievance can be closed at any meeting step on the IGS.
Case Reporting in Real Time. Case meeting reports in the IGS can be broken down by multiple search criteria including: case number, meeting date ranges, and multiple meeting levels.
Multiple Security Levels. The IGS can be secured with 4 levels of user security. Each user is assigned one of these levels and will have access to certain criteria within the system. The main adminstrator(s) at your local will have full system access and priveledges.
Once a grievance is closed on the IGS, it is locked and can only be re-opened by the local's adminstrative user(s).
There is an IGS feature that allows the administrators to remotely reset usernames and passwords as necessary. Adminstrators also have complete access adding and removing unlimited users.
Detail Audit Trail. Administrators can view a selective detailed report of their local's user activity on the IGS. The criteria for the report can be searched by: Date Ranges, User IDs, and Action Types (e.g., Articles, Contracts, Employers, Grievances, Logins, Union, and Users).
